Class Information

Description

Prodigy Power Skating Club programming has been developed by Quantum Speed and instruction is provided by certified Quantum Speed approved instructors.


This is an introductory Skating Program for Ages 3 and 4.


It is a FUN program that introduces children of pre-school age to the basics of getting up off the ice, standing, balancing, and movement on the ice.                                                                     
Our belief is to introduce Fun, Fitness, and Skill Development at this age and build a curiosity of learning for future years to come.                                                                     
This class does not require parent participation. Parents will not be invited ON to the ice, but they are required to stay in the building at all times.                                                                      
Equipment Requirement: ice skates, helmet, face cage. 

Please be advised that all students are required to wear a C.S.A approved helmet with face cage before being allowed on the ice.

NO ski or bicycle helmets shall be allowed.    

All students must be at least 3 years of age and not older than 5 years of age as of the start date of the class they are registering in (eg if the first class starts January 1st all students must be 3 years of age as of December 31).

FAQs

What should my skater wear to each Powerskating session?

All skaters  in the 5+  Skating Fundamental programs and the  3/4 year old Introduction to Skating programs are required to have ice skates and to wear a C.S.A approved helmet with face cage before being allowed on the ice.


All skaters in the Advance Powerskating, Powerskating Basics and all hockey programs require full hockey or ringette equipment, including neck guard, face shield /cage, and C.S.A approved helmet.

If my registered skater can’t make a session can their sibling/friend take their place?

Only registered skaters are allowed on the ice or in the players' bench areas.  If a skater is not able to attend a session a friend or sibling may not take their place. 

No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.



Registration will be taken at the beginning of each class; if a skater attending a session is not registered in that session they will not be allowed to skate. 

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

  • Registrants may withdraw from the program by notifying Prodigy Power Skating, via email prodigypowerskating@gmail.com prior to 3 weeks before the beginning of classes and receive a full refund minus administration fee. Refunds will not be issued within 3 weeks prior to the beginning of classes.
  • Any and all refunds will incur a $75.00 administration fee.  Merchant Fees are not refundable
  • Any and all changes made to your program will incur a $75.00 administration fee per change.
  • Dates / Times/ Locations are subject to change
  • Complete cancellation of ice times , by the city , resulting in the complete inability to skate, will result in a  prorated credit or refund
  • Medical issues may be considered for cancellation however 50% of full fee will be retained for administrative purposes and must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter.
If my registered skater can’t skate on their scheduled date & time can they attend a different date & time?
  • Skaters may only attend the program they originally registered in.  
  • Skaters may NOT switch between sessions. 
  • No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.

Registration will be taken at the beginning of each class; if a skater attending a session is not registered in that session they will not be allowed to skate; there are no exceptions.

Age Groups

Skaters must register and skate in their age group. 

Skaters may not move up an age group.
