Description

Prodigy Power Skating Club programming has been developed by Quantum Speed and instruction is provided by certified Quantum Speed instructors.


This is an Advanced Power Skating Program. Skaters registering for this Program must have a minimum of 3 years of hockey or ringette experience.


Instruction is designed to enhance skating skills through consistent repetition, direct feedback and an encouraging environment.


Quality instruction supported by mechanically correct skating drills, consistent repetition, direct personal feedback and an encouraging environment enhances elevated and sustainable skating skills . 


Note to U9 Skaters

This is not a learn to skate program.  This program is designed to enhance hockey and ringette skating skills.


2nd year U9 Skaters:

This is not a learn to skate program.  

U9 Skaters must have completed a minimum of 2 years of hockey or Ringette, no exceptions.


1st year U9 skaters:

This is not a learn to skate program.  
1st year U9 skaters will be considered with  a minimum of 2 years of hockey or Ringette, a current U9 tier 1 or 2 level, plus previous power skating history. 

1st year U9 skaters must be approved before registering.

FAQs

What should my skater wear to each Powerskating session?

Powerskating and hockey programs require full hockey or ringette equipment, including neck guard, face shield/cage and helmet.

If my registered skater can’t make a session can their sibling/friend take their place?

Only registered skaters are allowed on the ice or in the players' bench areas.  If a skater is not able to attend a session a friend or sibling may not take their place. 

No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.



Registration will be taken at the beginning of each class; if a skater attending a session is not registered in that session they will not be allowed to skate. 

How are Small Class dates selected?

Small classes are randomly selected. 


Preferred dates for small classes can not be guaranteed as there are only 10 spots in each small class. 

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

  • Registrants may withdraw from the program by notifying Prodigy Power Skating, via email prodigypowerskating@gmail.com prior to 3 weeks before the beginning of classes and receive a full refund minus administration fee. Refunds will not be issued within 3 weeks prior to the beginning of classes.
  • Any and all refunds will incur a $75.00 administration fee.  Merchant Fees are not refundable
  • Any and all changes made to your program will incur a $75.00 administration fee per change.
  • Dates / Times/ Locations are subject to change
  • Complete cancellation of ice times , by the city , resulting in the complete inability to skate, will result in a  prorated credit or refund
  • Medical issues may be considered for cancellation however 50% of full fee will be retained for administrative purposes and must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter.
If my registered skater can’t skate on their scheduled date & time can they attend a different date & time?
  • Skaters may only attend the program they originally registered in.  
  • Skaters may NOT switch between sessions. 
  • No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.

No, sorry skaters may only attend the small class they are registered in.

Age Groups

Skaters must register and skate in their age group. 

Skaters may not move up an age group.
