Prodigy Power Skating Club programming has been developed by Quantum Speed and instruction is provided by certified Quantum Speed instructors.


This program is for skaters born in 2016, 2017, 2018,2019

Instruction will be age and skill specific.

This is not a learn to skate program


U9/U11 Power Skating Instruction - For hockey and ringette players

Skaters must have a minimum of 2 years of hockey or ringette,



The 20 week season will be broken down into 4 Units
-Edge Control
-Forward and backward stopping
-Forward and Backward acceleration.
-Speed and Flow


This program is designed for players to receive intensive instructor feedback and skill repetition without competition


Instruction will be age and skill specific 


Some sessions will have visual/video feedback

FAQs

What should my skater wear to each Powerskating session?

All skaters in the Advance Powerskating, Powerskating Basics and all hockey programs require full hockey or ringette equipment, including neck guard, face shield /cage, and C.S.A approved helmet.


All skaters  in the 5+  Skating Fundamental programs and the  3/4 year old Introduction to Skating programs are required to have ice skates and to wear a C.S.A approved helmet with face cage before being allowed on the ice.

If my registered skater can’t make a session can their sibling/friend take their place?

Only registered skaters are allowed on the ice or in the players' bench areas.  If a skater is not able to attend a session a friend or sibling may not take their place. 

No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.



Registration will be taken at the beginning of each class; if a skater attending a session is not registered in that session they will not be allowed to skate. 

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

  • Registrants may withdraw from the program by notifying Prodigy Power Skating, via email prodigypowerskating@gmail.com prior to 3 weeks before the beginning of classes and receive a full refund minus administration fee. Refunds will not be issued within 3 weeks prior to the beginning of classes.
  • Any and all refunds will incur a 25% administration fee.  Merchant Fees are not refundable
  • Any and all changes made to your program will incur a 25% administration fee per change.
  • Dates / Times/ Locations are subject to change
  • Complete cancellation of ice times , by the city , resulting in the complete inability to skate, will result in a  prorated credit or refund
  • Medical issues may be considered for cancellation however, 50% of full fee will be retained for administrative purposes and must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter.
If my registered skater can’t skate on their scheduled date & time can they attend a different date & time?
  • Skaters may only attend the program they originally registered in.  
  • Skaters may NOT switch between sessions. 
  • No refunds will be issued for any missed classes and, because the program is progressive, individual classes cannot be made up.

Registration will be taken at the beginning of each class; if a skater attending a session is not registered in that session they will not be allowed to skate; there are no exceptions.

Age Groups

Skaters must register and skate in their age group. 

Skaters may not move up an age group.
